Good pizza and cheap wine at the same table is a simple formula, and Delucca Gaucho Pizza & Wine nails it during their weekday happy hour. Monday through Friday, 4:30 to 6:30, bar seating only. Pizzas at $9, small plates at $8, cocktails and wine by the glass both at $7.
The bar-only rule actually works in your favor. It's where the energy is anyway, and you get a front-row view of the kitchen firing off pies with proper char on the crust. The wine list favors Argentine and Italian bottles, which is the right call when you're eating this kind of food.
Delucca happy hour is a solid after-work play if you're anywhere near the Braker Lane corridor in North Austin. The crowd skews toward people making a deliberate stop rather than wandering in. Nobody's here by accident.
Nine-dollar pizzas and $7 wine. Not complicated, just good.
