A one-acre beer garden with ping pong, cornhole, and a pretzel that comes with beer cheese, house mustard, and salted whipped butter. Easy Tiger on East 7th is not subtle about what it's doing, and that's part of why it works.
Monday through Friday, 4 to 6, everything on the happy hour menu is $5 or $8. Sausages at $5, the pretzel at $8, and select beers, cocktails, and wines all at $5. The sausages are house-made and they don't taste like an afterthought. The pretzel is warm and dense in the way a good one should be.
Easy Tiger happy hour pulls a mix of East Austin locals, people wrapping up remote work days, and groups big enough to claim a whole picnic table. Dogs are welcome. The bakery counter stays open during happy hour too, so you can grab a loaf of bread on the way out like some kind of responsible adult.
Five-dollar beers in a beer garden. It's not complicated.
